Postpartum Services
As a postpartum doula, I combine my passion for culinary education with my love of family life and babies. I emphasize the importance of good nutrition as a foundation of self-care, healthy parenting and breast/chest-feeding. A postpartum doula provides information on parent-baby bonding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant feeding and soothing, and basic newborn care all while fostering confidence in your ability to parent your new babe. Assistance with the preparation of nourishing meals, the creation of a well-organized home, time and a space dedicated to self-nurturance and help with care of the entire family are all necessary in easing the adjustment that the birth of a baby creates. Excellent references provided on request.

Restorative Meal Planning & Preparation
Eating nutrient dense meals regularly will help you regain and maintain the strength needed to care for yourself and your family. I use the freshest ingredients available, focusing on seasonal produce, to create meals that will re-energize your body and spirit. We’ll work together to create a personalized menu for your household. Your meals will be carefully prepared from scratch and conveniently stored in your fridge with instructions for you to heat and enjoy as you wish.
Meal preparation and cost of food varies.
Prenatal Home Organization
You’ll rest easier knowing that your home is orderly and ready to receive your new baby. Prepare the entire home, not just the nursery for the child’s arrival so you’ll have more time for the important work ahead--that of caring for your baby, yourself and your family. I assess which organization style works best for your personality and help you create a nurturing environment for you and your baby.

Praise For Nana JuJu
”We were so grateful for JuJu’s warm, knowledgeable, and thoughtful postpartum support after the birth of our twins. From the initial phone call to in-home consultation to her thoughtful use of leftover ingredients in our refrigerator to make one of the best at-home meals of my maternity leave, Juju had us covered. It was intimidating to be home alone with newborn twins and visits from JuJu were such a breath of fresh air! I cannot speak highly enough of the positive impact JuJu had on our family and my personal postpartum experience. She knew exactly what we needed to help my recovery and our household move forward as we adjusted to life with twins but was also completely open to my suggestions of what would be helpful. Time with JuJu is one of the best postpartum gifts you can give yourself or a loved one!”
Erica V
”Entering JuJu’s home is a balm to the soul. Not because it is somehow perfect in every way, but because her home radiates love and acceptance. Your home can like JuJu’s — do yourself that favor and let her create your nurturing space.”
Suzanne T
”JuJu is one part fairy godmother, one part good witch. Her garden is incredible—great tangles of flowers and honey bees and roses and vegetables climbing trellises, and always another bed being laid. Her food bears the same stamp of wild and whimsy and fundamental integrity.”
